About Cynthia Lin:

Drawing comparisons to Edith Piaf and Joni Mitchell, San Francisco-based singer/songwriter Cynthia Lin captivates audiences with a rich, outsized voice and witty, honest storytelling. Since 2003, Cynthia has released three albums independently and toured colleges and venues across the country. Her first album Blue and Borderlined was featured on NPR’s Open Mic series, and her second album Doppelganger was named one of the Top 5 Asian American Albums of 2007 by AsiaXpress.com. The uncommon blend of retro jazz with acoustic fingerstyle guitar and a bluesy vocal delivery makes Cynthia’s style unmistakable yet classic.

Cynthia also appears on the Magnetic North & Taiyo Na album Home:Word (Home:Word Sound 2010), and frequently presents workshops to teach and encourage young people to empower their voices and follow their passions.

Building an ITASA Alumni Network

Dear Intercollegiate Taiwanese American Students Association (ITASA) Alumni,

We are undergoing a large effort to establish the first-ever ITASA Alumni Initiative. ITASA has been in existence for over 19 years, but has never established alumni relations with the hundreds of people who have tirelessly served in various organizational and National Board capacities through ITASA’s existence. The reason why ITASA is the way it is now is due to the past work that you put in our great organization. Our Initiative is modeled after university/college alumni associations, which provide programs and services to reach, serve, and engage alumni. This will help alumni reconnect to ITASA, relive old memories, and reconnect with old friends. Consequently, ITASA as an organization will greatly benefit from future alumni development, support, and expertise.

Our first goal is to maintain a list of alumni contacts for the Initiative. Please complete the form and submit your information to us to become part of the ITASA Alumni Network. Your information will remain confidential and will only be used to disseminate news concerning ITASA. More importantly, if we don’t have your information, we won’t be able to invite you to all the fun ITASA Alumni events and programs that we’re planning!

We would like to reach as many alums as possible. If there are any ITASA colleagues that you still keep in touch with, we’d greatly appreciate it if you could please forward this form to them.

The email you submit will be added to our ITASA Alumni email list (alumni@itasa.org).

CLICK HERE –> https://spreadsheets.google.com/viewform?formkey=dEVrNTNEODd1aWJnY0Y0MGZ0TTRpZlE6MQ

This is just the beginning of a long process to lay down the framework of the ITASA Alumni Initiative. As we keep moving forward, please be on the lookout for emails about future events (mixers!) and services.

Best,
ITASA Board of Directors and National Board
